Author: Colleen Hoover
Genre: New Adult
Publisher: Atria Books
Published: November 24th 2014

Summary:

When Warren has the opportunity to live with a female roommate, he instantly agrees. It could be an exciting change.

Or maybe not.

Especially when that roommate is the cold and seemingly calculating Bridgette. Tensions run high and tempers flare as the two can hardly stand to be in the same room together. But Warren has a theory about Bridgette: anyone who can hate with that much passion should also have the capability to love with that much passion. And he wants to be the one to test this theory.

Will Bridgette find it in herself to warm her heart to Warren and finally learn to love?

Maybe.

Maybe not.

REVIEW

I read Maybe Someday and absolutely loved it, so when Colleen announced that she was coming out with a Novella following Warren, I knew I had to read it.

We're introduced to Warren and his extremely pervert ways in Maybe Someday and he's one of the reason as to why I loved that book so much. He's not like any other character I've read in a New Adult book before because he's so different. He's funny, weird, loyal and a complete and utter pervert. Like 'he's addicted to porn' pervert. So getting to see things from his perspective was something.....unique.

We learn his story of why he watches porn so much as well as falling in love with Bridgette. And it's exactly what I expected it to be; funny to a tee and sexy as hell (No joke. Get the window wipers people because steam, steam, steam). Colleen leaves no questions unanswered and I was one hundred percent happy with the outcome. I learned to like Bridgette a little bit more because she's not such a bitch, but has a few problems in her life that she needs to fix. I also learned that love doesn't have to be all lovey dovey, rainbows, unicorns and chocolate cake. It can be cute and sweet but spicy as hell.

My only dislike is that I want so much more. Not necessarily from Warren's POV but more from the characters in this series. Maybe a little novella from Maggie. Or Hunter. I don't know, I just know I want more. Anyway if you're looking for a fun, sexy beach read then definitely pick up Maybe Someday and Maybe Not. You'll love them both!

March Favourites | 2015

Hi there, and welcome to my March Favourites! At the end of every month I will show you the things I have been loving recently, from Makeup products and books to films and music, and I am sure that other things like Instagram (bookstagram) accounts will come up as well. I hope you enjoy!

As a boy who wears makeup, it is essential for me to find the perfect face powders. I need ones that will give me that flawless look, while also keeping all of my make up on, and the translucent loose face powder from No7 does that, it looks white, but really has a beautiful finish to it. And while my OTT bold lips are the topic of a lot of controversy with some people, I can go neutral. This Essence Barely There lipstick is one of my favourites, it's a little darker than a nude, but works really well if you have a paler complexion than most. And what's better than an amazing nude lipstick? A nude lipstick that's cheap!

Quote Charm Necklace // £9.50 // Oh Panda Eyes

When I found out about Oh Panda Eyes on Etsy, I impatiently waited for the owner to put up her personalised prices and then as soon as they were up I put in an order! I decided to go with the charm necklace as it added a lot more character, as you can see on the picture I chose a musical note.

"You were so busy trying to be my saviour that you left me all alone" Where She Went, Gayle Forman.

It arrived within 3 days after it being dispatched and I am so happy with the product. It's definitely worth the price and the owner is so lovely and easy to work with. If you have a book in mind and a quote, but not sure on what charm then she will help you with that. And these aren't just good for yourself, but make the perfect birthday/Christmas gift to all bookish people.

Confess by Colleen Hoover and The Winners Curse by Marie Rutkoski // The Book Depository

I'm currently reading The Winners Curse by Mari Rutkoski, it's a YA Fantasy which is one of the genre's I am not a fan of. It can be good sometimes, but I find it hard to get into, however, The Winners Curse is so good. I'm 70 pages into it and the characters are so real, funny. The writing is also so poetic, lyrical. I love it!

My favourite book of the month was definitely Confess by Colleen Hoover. I am a huge fan of New Adult books, but I'm also a fan of art, so combining the 2 really worked well for me. I was crying within the first 10 pages and then the story got better and better, the more I read. If you haven't picked up a Colleen Hoover book yet, then you must!

I have 2 TV shows to talk about this month, the first is Once Upon A Time which has just got on
Netflix UK. I wasn't too sure if I'd like it, but after 3 episodes I was hooked. I'm currently on Season 2 Episode 2, I'm definitely liking the direction it's going in. My favourite characters are Snow White/Mary Margaret, Rumplestiltskin and Jefferson/Mad Hatter.

The other show I want to talk about is RuPauls Drag Race. Season 7 started this month and I am so glad that it is back, because I have missed it so much. This season definitely isn't as good as past seasons, but it's still an entertaining show. My favourite Queen is Trixie Mattel, although she sadly got eliminated in Episode 4. RuPaul has now made the worst decision in Drag Race Herstory!

#JusticeForTrixie

If I Stay // Chloe Grace Moretz and Jamie Blackley

I watched If I Stay this month and absolutely fell in love with it. I read the book back last year and enjoyed it, but got a little confused, the movie is a lot better with it's flashbacks. Chloe Grace Moretz definitely was the star in the movie and she deserves every success!

Free Fall // Hanna Koffler and Max Riemelt

Free Fall isn't exactly my favourite movie of the month, in fact it's my all time favourite movie. Free Fall is a German LGBT movie about two police officers, Mark and Kay (Pronounced Kai) who fall in love, despite the fact that Mark has a child on the way with his girlfriend.

The reason as to why I have listed it on my favourites is because the producer announced this week that there may be a sequel, which I have wanted since watching Free Fall (You can also watch it on UK Netflix). The ending broke my heart and I need to now what happens......

Now, there is only one way us fans will get the sequel and that is by crowd funding. There is a Free Fall 2 page set up and crowd funding will begin within the next month or two!

The last favourites I want to talk about are songs. I'm quite the picky person when it comes to music, but this month I have listened to some amazingly beautiful songs.

Hold Back the River // James Bay

Sacrifice // Zella Day

What have you been loving this month?

Review: Where She Went by Gayle Forman

Title: Where She Went (If I Stay #2)
Author: Gayle Forman
Genre: Contemporary
Publisher: Definitions (Random House)
Published: April 26th 2012
Page Number: 288

Summary:
It's been three years since Adam's love saved Mia after the accident that annihilated life as she knew it ...and three years since Mia walked out of Adam's life forever. Now living on opposite coasts, Mia is Julliard's rising star and Adam is LA tabloid fodder, thanks to his new rock star status and celebrity girlfriend. When Adam gets stuck in New York by himself, chance brings the couple together again, for one last night. As they explore the city that has become Mia's home, Adam and Mia revisit the past and open their hearts to the future - and each other. Told from Adam's point of view in the spare, powerful prose that defined If I Stay, Where She Went explores the devastation of grief, the promise of new hope, and the flame of rekindled romance.

Review:

I must say that I am pretty nervous reviewing this, because this book was amazing and my words will not give it justice, so just pretend I'm a younger, Welsh version of William Shakespeare who uses modern language and we will all be okay.

Where She Went isn't a sequel as such, it's a companion. It takes place three years after the events of If I Stay, where Mia had to decide where she wanted to live or die. She chose to live. Adam Wilde is a huge celebrity after Shooting Star's first album Collateral Damage went to number one. However, things aren't as they seem, because Shooting Star are no longer friends, well the other three are just not Adam.

Adam is completely different from If I Stay, which is what I loved most because in If I Stay he was a little creepy. Look at the scene where he stares at Mia when she's clearly in a world of her own. And damn, those eyes are giving me the chills, not good ones.

As well as being a bit of a stalker, Adam was also very gentle. I don't even think he flirted with her and that was weird. He likes her, thinks she's cute, but doesn't flirt with her. Why? With Adam though I think that's what makes him likable. Both Mia and Adam have this passion for music that everyone can relate too.

In Where She Went there is a clear growth in Adam. He's a man in this one and not because he's older by three years. He acts like he is gods gift and everyone should bow down to him, while wishing that he never had fame in the first place. He's also very depressive, which once again, I related too since I suffer with severe depression.

Mia and Adams love story is definitely an unusual one.

“And then Adam Wilde shows up at Carnegie Hall on the biggest night of my career, and it felt like more than a coincidence. It felt like a gift. From them. For my first recital ever, they gave me a cello. And for this one, they gave me you.”

I think we all knew that Adam and Mia would meet up again, I agree with what Mia has said. It's like her parents did give her Adam three years later after everything had changed. From this moment where Adam goes into her performance and they see each other, everything changes. The awkwardness between them both is very raw and real. You feel it and kind of feel sorry for them both. You just want to push them into each other. KISS AND MAKE UP PLEASE!

One of the weird things about Mia is that she hated Adam. We argue with the ones we love most, so does that mean we hate them without reason as well? My answer would be, yes. Mia had no one left and Adam changed around her. What he wanted to say, he couldn't and Mia saw that. She needed some normalcy and she had none, even from her Grandparents.

“I needed to hate someone and you’re the one I love the most, so it fell on you.”

One of my favourite thing in Where She Went was....actually I'm lying. There wasn't just one thing I loved because I loved everything about this book. From the depression that is Adam to the shit life of the music industry. I even loved the side characters that you never met *Cough* Ernesto *Cough*. Everything was perfect. The songs, the relationship, the feels. I will definitely say that I babbled like a baby. Mia hits you hard with her words and next thing you know you're needing a box of the Feels. Here are some Feels that will hit you hard.

I mean, who didn't had tears in their eyes at this part. Her life came crashing down around her.

Too cute. He wrote her a song and begged her to stay, which is kind of the reason why she hated him. She had no one and he made her stay. Adam can you write me a song please? Thanks.

If you want to read this book then make sure you're comfortable. Have a cup of tea or coffee, a blanket and a box of tissues because this book will make you laugh, smile and cry. Okay I'm lying. It'll make you cry, cry, cry.

Like I said, this is an amazing book. In fact it's my favourite read of 2014 so far and I'm hoping no book can top it. I would compare this book to Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowel (who happened to love both If I Stay and Where She Went). Both books are heartbreakingly beautiful, but at least this one had a happy ending.

A MILLION OUT OF FIVE STARS!

Ps, don't forget that If I Stay is in all Cinemas, starring Chloe Grace Moretz.

Wattpad Reviews

The Cell Phone Swap by DoNotMicrowave - http://www.wattpad.com/story/1994914-the-cell-phone-swap
                                                     Summary:

Keeley accidentally swaps cell phones with a rivalling high school’s star quarterback. Unable to switch back until a week later, she must interact with the arrogant boy, passing along texts and voicemails. As she gets to know him better, she realizes there’s more to him than sexual innuendos and egotistical comments. But when identities are revealed and secrets are exposed, will Keeley’s feelings remain?

Review:

This book is no where near finished, but it is one of my absolute favourites on Wattpad at the minute. It's fun, flirty and brilliantly written. Keeley and Talon have a great, yet unusual relationship that does survive on sarcasm, but it's great because you never know what's going to happen next. He's already paid for $30 of Condoms off Keeley's card, and drank her drink. So there is still a lot that could happen. You'll just never know. 5/5 Stars!

Beating You by Lilohorse - http://www.wattpad.com/story/988884-beating-you

Summary:

Ally would like to believe that she has the perfect life but who is she kidding? She's scared to enter her home and the only place she can find safety is the ice skating pavilion which is where she meets Cooper. He's sweet, funny and makes her forget what's waiting for her at home. But if she tells him her dreaded secret can he help her?

Review:

Lilohorse is known for either writing fun, witty novels. Or hard gut wrenching ones. And Beating You is exactly that! It deals with child abuse, and it's beautifully done especially since Katie is only 17 or 18 and wrote this back in 2012. It's full of emotion and the romance is beautifully developed. In the Wattpad world, Ally and Cooper are without a doubt my favourite book couple. 5/5 STARS!

Convicted Love by Mamie1990 - http://www.wattpad.com/story/465457-convicted-love

Summary:

Paige loves her life as it seems fulfilled. She get's a job at as a prison guard in her Uncle's Prison. She meets some interesting characters and a guy who seems closed off to anyone. Will he open up to her?

Review:

Convicted Love was one of the first books I read on Wattpad when I joined and I immediately loved it! It made me feel like a rebel and gave me a thrill because it shouldn't happen, but it did and it's a great story. It has a sexy male lead, a kick ass female and so much sexual tension that it could cook an apple pie if you left it near them. I absolutely cannot get enough of this book, and hopefully, one day it will be published. 5/5 STARS!

Review:

I've heard such amazing things about Colleen Hoover and it's only made my desire to read her books grow and grow. And I got paid. Which led to me buying Maybe Someday. It arrived two days late. I read it.

First off I would advise everyone, and I mean EVERYONE to go into this blindly. Don't read reviews, don't even ask your friends what they thought of it because you will get spoiled. Just buy it and read it. And then you can gush with all your feelings and Fangirl all you like.

The prologue starts out with some awesomeness.

I just punched a girl in the face. Not just any girl. My best friend. My roommate.

I mean c'mon. All I could think was 'What has this girl done to get punched in the face?' I came up with many different ideas before I carried on reading.

She called her fat
She ate the last bar of chocolate
She "borrowed" her makeup
She kissed her boyfriend

Yeah, she didn't kiss her friends boyfriend. She slept with him, many times over the two years of Sydney and Hunter had been together. And just having that as a prologue made my stomach flutter with excitement. Who doesn't love a good bitch fight.

However, the story isn't about a girl who found out her boyfriend and friend have been having an affair. It's so much more than that.

It's a story of a girl finding out what exactly love is and how talented she really is when it comes to song writing. It's also a story about not judging everyone and how far you'd really go to not become someone or something you hate.

Colleen warped me into Sydney and Ridges world and I could've stayed there forever. You're met with secrets, friendship and a lot of flirting.

I just could not get enough of this book. And the biggest bombshell for me was when I found out Ridge was deaf. I know no one was expecting it because the back blurb doesn't say that, and it normally would, which is great because it's becoming a normal thing. And, Sydney, just treating him like a normal person meant so much to me because we shouldn't treat people who are unique any different than we would want to be treated ourselves.

Overall, I just absolutely adored this book. There were a few problems, but they were minor and didn't really take away from the book, only added to it! And the way that we could listen to the songs that were written as we went along seriously helped me to get in the mood for the writing and story. I cannot recommend this book enough! 4.5 Stars!

Book Review: Breathe by Abbi Glines

    Book Name: Breathe
    Author: Abbi Glines
    UK Release Date: 2013
    UK Publishers: Simon and Schuster
    Summary:

They're about to discover that love can be suffocating, until you find a way to breathe...

Praise for Abbi Glines:

'Every time I read one of Abbi's books, I declare it my new favourite.' Colleen Hoover, author of Slammed

'Abbi Glines really knows how to write hot male characters; she really does make you swoon.' Serendipity Reviews

Review:

Since being in a reading slump I really needed something that was either A) Set on or around a beach or B) Based around music. And this book was perfect because its both of those things.

Now I've been dying to read an Abbi Glines book for a while, and I finally caved. The outcome: I loved it!

Abbi Glines knows how to write great characters that you just swoon over, male or female, you'll soon find yourself in love with them because they're so elegantly developed. Sadie, the main female protagonist, is too kind. She won't stand up to her mother, she'll do anything for anyone and she'll even go as far as dating a rockstar and getting upset over fake girlfriend publicity. However, for me, Sadie was a bit immature for a seventeen year old. I thought I was reading about a fifteen year old, and then automatically she'd mature. But then again I still liked her character.

Jax Stone really confused me. Through out the book he was a great character: Flirty, cocky and jealous. But with a kind side to him. But there were a few scenes where I felt his character voice completely changed to something new and those were in the sexy scenes. He aged by like ten years and turned into something like Christian Grey. Only younger and a lot less experienced.

However, the story did grip my attention. The premise worked very well and I felt so many different things towards the characters and their personal stories. You can very much tell that this is Abbi's first book, and I know from this that her writing has so much promise and potential. And I really look forward to reading the rest of the Sea Breaze series. As well as her other intertwining series.

Overall, I gave this book a rating of 3.75/5 Stars because I couldn't decide between 4 stars and 3.5 stars, so I went for the middle of them.
